Because that camera behind your mirror is “seeing” the road through the glass. New glass has slightly different clarity and thickness than the old stuff. If we don’t recalibrate it, your auto-braking might trigger at a shadow or fail to see a car stopping in front of you. We use digital targets to “re-teach” the camera exactly where the road is.
